Unreal Engine 2023 Epic Megajam

I created this game in one week for the Unreal Engine 2023 Epic Megajam and honestly, i'm very proud of it haha.

It was very tough, and i had to recreate the protagonist basically from scratch which honestly took most of the time. I learned a ton during this exercise and am ready to really crunch and develop a proper game because of this contest. For that I'd like to thank the good people behind Unreal Engine and the 2023 Epic Megajam! 

Btw the theme was awesome! "Antiquated Future" I decided to go for a cyberpunk world but with a player fighting old robots that use swords. The player is equipped with a wooden/steel Kanabo. 

Thank you for watching and honestly, despite the hilarious bugs that happen, for a game I made in a week I think this is an A+ and I'm really proud of it! I'm going to get  some rest and then the next thing I publish will be a legitimate showcase of the skills this contest helped me develop.

Instructions

• 1 is light attack 
• 2 is a heavy attack
• 3 is block --- SUPER IMPORTANT you must face an enemy to block his attacks
• 4 is dodge --- SUPER IMPORTANT : if you are mobbed by the enemies roll out!  Best to hold block and spam roll as you can be put into block/hit stun
• Escape / 7 is pause
  
• WASD is movement

Tips & Tricks

• Spinning attack cannot be blocked!  It can be dodged!
• Dodge has a short cooldown to avoid spamming (and spinning off of the map haha)
• Once you defeat 25 bots the game will restart

Enemies are a very old generation of bots using a Manny that I modified in Blender and Substance Painter
